A man allegedly held a woman and her two children captive for over two years in their Spotsylvania, Virginia home.
Kariem Ali Muhammad Moore, 43, has been charged with three felony counts of abduction and felony assault and battery, WWBT reported.
Police went to the home for a welfare check on Saturday. Police said that Moore didn’t want deputies inside his home. As police spoke to him, a woman and her two children ran out a side door, according to WTVR.
According to the report, the 32-year-old woman and the children, ages 11 and 8, told police that they haven’t been outside of their home in two years. The children, who are fathered by Moore, have reportedly never been to school.
The woman is now receiving treatment for untreated health conditions. Her children also received treatment.
