The election may be over, the inauguration may be over, but the political divide in the country seems as strong as ever. It has led to family feuds, social media wars, and now has even cost one Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania man his ear. Well, he actually got the ear back, but only after cops retrieved it from his apartment after another man bit it off during an argument about President Donald Trump.
According to police, the verbal argument about the new president’s relative merits turned physical around 6:30 am Monday morning. After his ear was bitten off, the resident fled his apartment and called police from a nearby gas station. Police found the ear inside the apartment but no sign of the culprit ear-biter. The victim was taken to UPMC Presbyterian and is in stable condition.
Police are currently looking for the suspect and know his identity. According to WPXI Pittsburgh, police spokeswoman Emily Schaffer says at this point it’s unknown whether the victim was pro- or anti-Trump, and which position motivated the attacker.
