Troy Bland is demanding an apology from TSA officials following an incident in which his father's ashes, which he carries in an amulet around his neck, were spilled out, according to WSBTV.

"He has my dad's amulet in his hands and the cap is off, and I said 'What are you doing?' ... "He opened the bottle, looked in it and went like that," Bland said, showing reporters how the contents of the amulet were emptied.

Both Bland and his father were Marines. Bland had the amulet, which has the Lord's Prayer inscribed on it, created after his father's death this past November. After several pages of communication with TSA officials, no apology or reimbursement has been offered.

TSA officials have twice reviewed surveillance footage of the situation and have concluded, essentially, that nothing happened. They will not release the footage, but they allowed a reporter to view the video. She says that she couldn't draw any conclusions from what was shown to her.

"I still want the apology," Bland said.
