A Florida man murdered his ex-girlfriend with a sword on Sunday, then ran her over with his truck. According to WTSP 10 News, 41-year-old Eric Huffman jumped into his neighbor's pool in his underwear after killing the woman.

“He was standing at the front right of my car, when I walked out the door, my wife had already started screaming. … I didn't know he had just murdered somebody,” said neighbor David Jirkovsky, who added that Huffman appeared to be impaired.

Police said Huffman has confessed to the sword-stabbing of 42-year-old Brandi Blevins.

According to the report, Huffman stabbed Blevins with a large sword so badly that she died almost instantly. The stabbing took place in the trailer that Huffman and Blevins shared. Huffman’s previous ex-girlfriend also lived with them. She witnessed the stabbing.

According to the report, Blevins was already dead when Huffman ran her over with his truck.

“He was coming towards me. I saw the headlights come my way and I ran up the stairs. He ran right over her,” Huffman’s previous ex-girlfriend told police on a 911 call.

Police were called out to the home earlier in the day when the previous ex-girlfriend, who witnessed the attack, told Huffman that she was moving out. Police said that Huffman responded by breaking the windows of his home.

“I don't know how you get into that frame of mind where he would actually kill someone like that, and run her over after she's already been stabbed.  It’s terrible,” said a neighbor in the report.

Police said they believe Huffman stripped down to his underwear and got into a neighbor's pool to wash off Blevins' blood. He is now in jail without bond.
