T-Pain's niece, Jovona Glover, was fatally stabbed outside of a Walgreens in August of last year. The rapper made a plea to his fans on social media, asking for anyone with any information to step forward. Shortly thereafter, Glover's loved ones and U.S. Marshals teamed up to offer a $20,000 reward to anyone with information on the whereabouts of 25-year-old Tavon Jackson, Glover's ex-boyfriend. Glover and Jackson had a two-year-old daughter together, and Jackson was suspect number one in Glover's killing.
Nearly six months after Glover's murder, Jackson has been found dead of an apparent suicide, Billboard reports. Police in Tallahassee, Florida reported on Tuesday that, while surveying the area on an unrelated case, they found Jackson's body in a wooded area close to the same shopping plaza where he murdered Glover back in August.
T-Pain has yet to comment publicly on this latest development in his niece's case; one can only hope that this will give Glover's family some sort of closure.
