A married Connecticut high school teacher has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a special education student.
Laura Ramos, 31, was charged Tuesday with second-degree sexual assault, according to the Connecticut Post. Police arrested Ramos, a wife and a mother, after she admitted to having sex with an 18-year-old student a handful of times in her car. According to Fox News, she then destroyed evidence of the acts including texts in which she told the teen to deny their relationship.
Authorities were called to Central High School in Bridgeport after another student reported the sexual assault, WFSB reported. The witness told police he saw Ramos and the teen "make eyes at each other" and flirt. The student also claimed that Ramos complained when the disabled student wouldn’t have sex, or buy weed for her.
Ramos submitted a letter of resignation from her position at the school on June 20.
