A massage therapist who advertised online was found dead Tuesday near a Louisiana home where she agreed to give a massage.
Kayla Ann Denham, 24, of Baton Rouge went to meet a client at their home around 5 a.m. Monday. She told her boyfriend the address, according to WAFB. When Denham’s boyfriend couldn't get in touch with her, he went to the address. He discovered her car on a gravel road that led to a wooded area near the home. He called police, who found Denham’s body on the property in a barn, according to WBRZ.
Christopher Landry, 25, has been charged with the woman’s murder. An autopsy revealed that Denham was strangled and suffered blunt force trauma to her head.
Denham’s family put out the following statement, “We are in shock about the loss of our beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, and friend. Kayla was a wonderful young woman who always shared a beautiful smile on her face and love in her heart. She will be greatly missed, and we ask for privacy during this very difficult period of mourning for the family.”
