Former Disney star Michael Mantenuto has committed suicide. The 35-year-old who was seen in the 2004 film Miracle shot himself.
According to TMZ, the actor was found dead in his car by authorities in Des Moines, Washington. The coroner tells the outlet that the former University of Maine hockey player committed suicide by shooting himself.
Variety shares that Mantenuto’s acting career was brief. Aside from Miracle, he was seen in the 2006 TV movie Dirtbags and 2008’s Surfer, Dude.
Mantenuto joined the military following acting. In a news release announcing Mantenuto’s death, Col. Guillaume Beaurpere shared, “Those of you that knew Mike will remember him for his passionate love for his family and his commitment to the health of the force.”
