The body of a Utah father was recovered from a creek after he went missing in late July, People magazine reported.
Paul Swenson, the wife of popular lifestyle blogger Ashlee Swenson and father of a newborn girl, went missing July 27 after an encounter with family members in which he apparently acted strangely, according to police. He may have been having “an acute medical or other medical condition just prior to leaving,” police said, in an apparent reference to the behavior.
As Paul left his family, he told them he was going to an appointment in Salt Lake City, but police believe he never arrived. His car, a black 2016 BMW X6, was found a day after his disappearance near a Salt Lake City elementary school “under suspicious circumstances,” authorities said.
His cause and manner of death have not been released and a medical examiner has not yet ruled out foul play.
“Our family has learned the heart-wrenching news that the body of our beloved Paul Heiner Swenson has been found,” said his wife Ashlee in a statement on Instagram. “We are deeply pained to have our most dreaded fear confirmed.”
A call to American Fork Police by Oxygen was not immediately returned.
