A Texas mom is charged with binding the hands and covering the mouths of her three young children with duct tape and beginning to drown the youngest after telling the three kids they were “going to heaven,” People reported.

Joshlyn Guy, 26, had been outside smoking a cigarette on Oct. 2 when she suddenly began feeling “evil and different,” according to a probable cause affidavit. She went inside, where her three children—ages 5, 6, and 7—were eating burritos.

Guy then reportedly bound them with duct tape and told the three children they were going to “see God.” She allegedly began filling up the bathtub with water and forced her youngest daughter, age 5, into the bathroom, where she forced the little girl’s body underwater and held her mouth and nose.

Luckily, a close family friend interrupted the scene, picking the girl out of the water and telling the children to run as she called police.

Guy later told a caseworker that she has no memory of trying to drown her children. According to ABC, all three children are in custody of Child Protective Services and are physically unharmed.
