The parents of a 4-year-old are fuming after their daughter was apparently abused while in a Missouri daycare.
Elysha Brooks and Christian Evans were contacted by the Department of Children and Family Services and sent a photo that appears to show their daughter taped to a chair with duct tape from Snapchat.
"I'm looking at a picture of my daughter [duct] taped to a chair, and her facial expression, I can just imagine how she felt," Brooks said to KFVS.
The mother believes the photo was taken at the Little Learners of Florissant daycare. She says she had no idea of the abuse until authorities contacted her.
"I won't be happy until that daycare is shut down, for one, and whoever did this to my child, whoever it is, either – it's not an either – she needs to be in jail,” Evans said. "Seeing your child duck taped to a chair, seeing the anxiety, seeing how scared your kid is, knowing for one that you're not there to protect them and knowing for two that you have people around that would stoop to that level to hurt your child puts you in a crazy mind state."
Authorities are currently investigating the matter. The daycare did not respond to attempts by the news organization for comment.
Brooks took to Facebook to share her outrage. In her post, she added that her daughter's eardrum was almost injured while at the daycare due to a rock being lodged inside her ear.
