A Florida mom is accused of trying to run her daughter's boyfriend over, after he exposed their long-term affair to her daughter.
Kathleen Davis, 58, allegedly chased her daughter’s boyfriend through a front yard with her Mercedes SUV on September 20, according to PEOPLE.
Documents written by Palm Beach Gardens police state that the boyfriend, 33, confessed to them that he had a sexual relationship with Davis while dating her daughter. He then admitted that affair to his girlfriend, which allegedly made Davis consumed with rage. She was distraught, according to reports, that this would damage her mother-daughter relationship. As she was being arrested she allegedly told police, “I wanted to run him over.” Davis also said she wanted the boyfriend to “die.”
The incident started off with a “bang,” when the boyfriend heard “banging” from outside his home. When he went outside he allegedly caught Davis throwing eggs at his car and his home. He told police he told Davis to stop. She did, but that didn’t stop her rampage.
She then allegedly jumped into his SUV, and began trying to mow him down. The boyfriend claims he was almost hit multiple times and that he feared for life. When police arrived on the scene, Davis was driving around in circles in the front yard, in what seemed like an attempt to run down the man.
The Palm Beach Post reports that police refers to the man’s relationship as an ex-boyfriend to Davis’ daughter. However, records show that they are still married and are in the middle of a divorce.
Davis has been charged with aggravated assault and has since posted bail.
