An Indiana mother who admitted she killed her two young children is now facing charges for murdering her neighbor.
Less than two weeks ago, 29-year-old Amber Pasztor pleaded guilty to killing her two children, 7-year-old Liliana Hernandez and 6-year-old Rene Pasztor. On Tuesday, more murder charges were filed against the mother for the killing of Frank Macomber, according to Fox59.
The mother had suffocated her children and then drove to the Elkhart Police Department. She reportedly admitted to killing Macomber, her neighbor, with his own rifle before taking his car. Pasztor told police that her two children were in the backseat of the car and that she smothered them to death.
She faces 130 years at her sentencing at the end of the month.
In an interview with WANE, Pasztor said she decided to kill her children when she heard the Amber Alert issued on the radio.
“That’s when I went straight to Elkhart and that’s when I killed my kids,” Pasztor told WANE. “Because I knew the police was gonna get us. And with me behind bars, and my kids out here with all my problems; no. Sorry. No. I’m not that selfish. I’m not a coward.”
Pasztor said she gave her children a “choice.”
“I gave them a choice,” she said. “That they can live traumatized like their mom, or they can go to heaven with God and be better off.”
