The search for missing Elizabeth Thomas, 15, continues. It's been two weeks since the Tennessee teen disappeared and authorities believe that she was abducted by her former teacher Ted Cummins, who is 50 years old. According to WZTV, tips have been coming in since an AMBER Alert was sent out in Tennesee and Alabama. Since nothing has panned out, a series of new photos of what Elizabeth might look like with dyed hair have been released by her father's attorney in hopes that it may help locate the 15-year-old.
One recent tip from Corpus Christi, Texas claimed that Cummins' silver Nissan Rogue was spotted at a hotel. That tip proved to be incorrect.
Previously, surveillance footage showed Cummins apparently shopping for hair dye. Although it is not confirmed that he purchased hair dye, the Thomas family lawyers wanted to release the new photos to show what the teen may look like with an altered appearance.
From the evidence gathered so far, it appears that Thomas and Cummins were romantically involved. Cummins was suspended from the school he worked at a month ago after he was reportedly caught kissing Thomas. Love notes between the teen and the teacher were found on a school computer. “They would write the message and let it save as a draft. The other person would log in, read the message and then delete it and then write another message that was saved as a draft," authorities said, per Inside Edition. Thomas allegedly changed her Instagram bio to "Wife" following her disappearance, leading many to believe that the two got—or would like to get—secretly married.
