A Quarryville, Pennsylvania couple have been arrested for abusing a man’s 4-year-old son. Police say Danielle Miller repeatedly beat, burned and bound her boyfriend Nathan Duke’s young son. She also allegedly force fed him laxatives to learn potty training and would feed him hot sauce as punishment.
Authorities say Miller resented the boy since he was Duke’s child by another woman. When not physically abusing him, she would verbally abuse him, calling him “a (expletive) pig” and saying he had a "stupid, ugly face." She would also lock him in a dark closet or bind his leg for hours on end, which she called “playing mermaid.”
The boy was removed from the home in July, along with three other children, and is currently living with relatives. Miller is being held on $300,000 bail after being charged with a laundry list of felonies, including aggravated assault, endangering a child, false imprisonment, unlawful restraint, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment and harassment. Duke was charged with felony counts of endangerment and conspiracy and is being held on $100,000.
