In a scene straight out of the Ice Cube movie Friday, a Florida pastor was chased down the street buck-naked by a man who caught him having sex with his wife. On his website, O. Jermaine Simmons of Tallahassee calls himself a “pastor, community leader, and an advocate for outreach and evangelism.” However, he reached out a little too far on the afternoon of January 17, ending up in between the sheets with another man’s wife. Unfortunately for the pervy priest, the woman’s husband returned home early that afternoon and caught the couple making love, according to CBS News.
The Tallahassee Democrat newspaper reports the woman called police after her husband found them having sex in her daughter’s room. The husband then retrieved a handgun from the master bedroom and yelled out "I'm gonna kill him!" Simmons ran out of the apartment in his birthday suit and hid behind a nearby fence. The husband then took Simmons' clothes, wallet and car keys and threatened to drop them off at the pastor’s church. He also threatened to expose Simmons on Facebook. Police eventually retrieved them from the man and returned them to Simmons, who declined to press charges.
A penitent Simmons appeared before his congregation on January 22 in an address that was uploaded to YouTube and has been viewed over 200,000 times to date. “I’m hurting because I’ve hurt you,” Simmons says, later saying, “It hurts me that you have to defend my actions. You cannot defend sin.” Ironically, the pastor just released his first book, entitled I Need a Man, which is described as “a fresh perspective on the issues of godly manhood and mentoring.” Watch below.
