The victims of Hurricane Harvey are starting the process of returning to normalcy after the tragedy.
As Time shares, Aric Harding returned to his home in Friendswood, Texas to gather toys for his family staying at a nearby shelter. His son, an avid piano player, asked him to check on his cherished instrument, and upon doing so, he decided to take a moment to play it.
Playing amid a flooded room, the beautiful and somber moment has gone viral. It encapulates heartbreak but also resilience of the human spirit. "I think it's all finally sinking in a little," captioned Harding in an Instagram post. "What we used to have going as a city is gone. I really think God is going to do something completely new here. I am excited to see the new beauty in the suffering."
"Your music is a gift to all of us. God bless you," captioned one commenter in the post.
"Amazing video and amazing message," added another.
"Sending you and your family love and peace...your messsge of hope can be shared to give others hope...God bless you," summed up another comment.
The response has been overwhelming. Harding tells CNN that someone has offered to buy the family a new piano. "One person, who I don't even know, offered to send us a new piano," he said.
