Police are currently searching for an unidentified woman who was seen at a high-end nightclub in Hollywood and later went to homes of victims where she drugged and robbed them. Investigators say the female suspect appears to be targeting affluent males.
According to KTLA, the woman was seen entering apartments in Studio City after meeting marks in various venues. Detective Joseph Hampton with the Los Angeles Police Department said the thief “singled out some affluent, single men who were wearing high-end luxury watches." After the men took her home, "[s]he made them a drink with their alcohol and mixers and she handed them a drink, and they believe that in that drink was some sort of drug or toxin that knocked them out."
KABC reports both jewelry and money were stolen, including a Rolex worth an estimated $100,000. The suspect is described as a 20-year-old African-American woman, about 5'6", 120 pounds, with a large tattoo on her left leg, hip and back.
Police say the suspect may be connected to at least half a dozen similar incidents in the Los Angeles area.
