A pregnant Florida woman was almost suffocated by her own boyfriend during a disagreement over their baby's name on Wednesday.

Raul Lopez, 18, and his girlfriend allegedly began fighting about what to name their baby at Walmart. According to NBC affiliate WBBH, Lopez wanted the boy to be named after him, but his girlfriend wanted another name. When the two got home, the couple continued fighting and Lopez's girlfriend locked herself in a room.

Lopez allegedly removed the door knob and then began to suffocate his girfriend. Lopez allegedly covered her mouth and nose with both hands until she began losing consciousness, then allegedly grabbed her by the hair and threw her onto a bed. Lopez’s mother broke up the fight, according to the New York Daily News.

Lopez faces a felony charge of aggravated battery on a pregnant woman and a charge of domestic battery by strangulation. He has since been released from jail.
