Quentin Tarantino is planning a new movie about the Manson Family murders. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Tarantino wrote the project and he plans to direct it. He is also reportedly talking to to A-list actors for roles in the upcoming movie including Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence.
WME is in the stages of shopping the project to studio. According to the Hollywood Report, Tarantino is putting the finishing touches on the scripts. The package for the film is expected to be completed by Labor Day, according to Variety. The plan is to shoot in 2018.
The focus of the potential future film is fuzzy, but one of stories in the script is reporedly surrounding actress Sharon Tate who was murdered while pregnant by the Manson Family in 1969 along with four other others.
If this film comes to fruition, it would mark Tarantino’s first film to be based on true events.
