R. Kelly’s Alleged Captive Speaks Out: “I’m Not Being Brainwashed”

"I've never felt like a hostage or anything like that.”

The woman whose family claims R. Kelly is holding her in a cult, against her will told TMZ that she’s not being held hostage.

“I'm 21, I'm about to be 22 in a few days and I just mainly want to say that I am in a happy place with my life and I'm not being brainwashed or anything like that,” Joycelyn Savage, 21, said. “I am totally fine.”

When asked if she was being held involuntarily, she said: “Oh no, nothing like that. I've never felt like a hostage or anything like that.”

However, her father, mother and sister allage that Kelly made their daughter and other women his sex slaves.

Kelly has denied the accusations. In her interview with TMZ, Savage said she didn’t want to say where she was, or if she had any roommates.
