Residents of the crumbling Soviet-era apartment block had been complaining for some time about the building’s backed up toilets and drains. A plumber called out to investigate the problem soon made a grisly discovery; the blockage came from human body parts which had been flushed down the toilet. Fortunately the blocked pipes provided a direct path to the culprit, a 64-year-old man who shared an apartment in St. Petersburg, Russia with a younger couple. You know who they didn’t find there? His roommates.
Police say the man got into an argument with the couple one night about their incessant partying. He then broke into their room as they slept and shot them both to death, using a homemade silencer. After killing them he used a saw to dismember their bodies, boil their heads and flush other body parts down the toilet. Police also suspect he might have eaten some of the couple’s body parts as well. Authorities report the man has made a full confession to both murders, which he says were inspired by his love of gore movies.
