Actor Shia LaBoeuf—most famous for his role in the Transformers movies as well as his baffling public persona—was arrested Saturday in Savannah, Georgia, for obstruction, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness, CNN reported.
LaBeouf, 31, was taken into custody at about 4 a.m. and was released that day after posting a $7,000 bond.
He was arrested after approaching a bystander and a police officer to ask for a cigarette, only to become upset and cursing when neither would give him one, the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department said.
"When the officer attempted to place LaBeouf under arrest, LaBeouf ran to a nearby hotel," the police statement said. "LaBeouf was arrested in the hotel lobby, where his disorderly behavior continued.”
This is not his first time being arrested on alcohol charges. LaBeouf was also charged with public intoxication in 2015 and a DUI in 2008. In 2014, LaBeouf pleaded guilty to a disorderly conduct charge and agreed to go to rehab as part of his settlement.
LaBeouf is in Savannah filming the movie “The Peanut Butter Falcon.”
