According to The New York Daily News, the rapper is now facing two felony gun charges after authorities found an illegal assault rifle and a stolen handgun inside his home during a probation raid. The Los Angeles County District Attorney also charged the rapper — whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way — with a misdemeanor count of receiving a stolen weapon; one of the guns, a Glock 21, was previously reported stolen from a police vehicle. If convicted of these charges, Soulja Boy may spend more than four years in state prison.
Soulja was first arrested last month for violating his probation; after authorities received information about "objectionable information" the rapper shared on social media, cops conducted a surprise search in his home and discovered the illegal weapons. Soulja later posted bail, and pleaded not guilty at his arraignment yesterday. He's due back in court on February 28.
