They were only 17.

A Washington teen was arrested for allegedly stabbing his twin brother to death, the New York Daily News reported.

On Sunday, the 17-year-old boy—who has not yet been identified because of his age—allegedly stabbed his twin Shane Wachter at 2:30 am.

The victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital from a single knife wound. Other people were in the house at the time of the stabbing, the Daily News said.

Apparently the two boys had had a disagreement before the attack, a local NBC station reported.

"The circumstances in this case are awful,” said Kyle Foreman, a police spokesman to 14 News.  “It's very, very sad right now, so what we're hoping for is the community, which is also grieving, will come together with the family and they'll collectively heal together.

The suspect will appear in court on Tuesday to face charges of manslaughter and domestic violence assault.
