A high school student allegedly choked his mother's ex-boyfriend to death on Monday after he witnessed him beating his mom.

Luis Moux, 18, of the Bronx, was arrested and charged with manslaughter, according to PIX11.

Forty-three-year-old Stanley Washington went to the Bronx apartment to talk to Moux’s mother, and it escalated into violence when he began beating the 37-year-old woman. Moux reportedly ran out of his room and pulled the man off his mother. He then allegedly choked him to death.

Police said the mother briefly passed out in the incident. Washington has 26 prior arrests, two of which were for domestic violence against the teenager's mother.

Moux was arrested on Monday and charged with manslaughter, the New York Post reports.
