A teen murdered her grandparents with the help of her boyfriend earlier this month. Turns out, the two teens planned on killing even more people—and wanted to keep it within the young couple’s families.
Cassie Bjorge, 17m and Johnny Rider, 19, were arrested for the murders of Randall and Wendy Bjorge. Their bodies were discovered during a welfare check on the grandparents’ home in Lawrenceville, Georgia, Fox 5 reported. A standoff ensued with the teens before their arrest.
Now in custody, Cassie Bjorge has confessed that she and Rider wanted to kill more family members.
“She also said they were planning on killing Johnny’s family and there were plans on killing her mother also,” Gwinnett County Police Detective Dave Brucz said in a Fox News report. The couple is accused of killing the 63-year-old grandparents with a tire iron, hammer, baseball bat and butcher knives. Reportedly, Cassie Bjorge admitted to staying in the home with her grandparent’s dead bodies for days after she and her boyfriend killed them. She even held a party and hid the corpes in a room during that party.
The pair is also accused of trying to kill Rider’s sister and boyfriend, according to that report. The sister actually helped authorities capture the two murderous teens. She reportedly escaped their planned attack.
The motive of the murders, police said in the Fox News report, was because Cassie Bjorge felt her grandparents were “too rigid.”
