Promposals—asking someone to go to the prom—are becoming more and more creative, but this one is downright criminal. On Friday, a teen in Peachtree City, Georgia used a fake drug bust to ask a girl to the big dance— and the police caught it all on camera.
The Huffington Post shares how it all went down: A boy and girl were pulled over by the police because of an issue with his truck. The officer asks a bunch of questions and then searches the car. “If you lie to me, I run out of options, all right,” the officer says. “You work with me, I’ve done this a thousand times, I can normally work with folks but the thing I can’t work with is dishonesty.”
The officer puts the teenage boy in handcuffs and questions the two about having marijuana. At one point, the officer hands a bag containing a slip of paper to the girl.“Does that look like weed to you?” She realizes that it's a prom invite and freaks out. "Oh my God! This is not funny!" The teen boy then emerges with a sign that says, “Prom? Say yes or you’re under arrest!”
The police dash cam caught the whole proposal. By the way, she did say yes.
