According to The Miami Herald, Haleigh Alexis Hudson and Ezzie Johnson, two teenagers who filmed the sexual and physical assault of a woman and posted the video online, have been arrested. Hudson is being charged with felony kidnapping and sexual assault; Johnson is being charged with felony kidnapping. The Clarion-Ledger adds that Kadari Fabien Booker has also been charged with felony kidnapping and sexual assault.

The assault —which occurred in Gulfport, Mississippi — was being recorded and streamed on Facebook Live. The unnamed victim is a 23-year-old woman who may or may not be handicapped. If she is, both offenders could face additional charges.

The video has since been removed from Facebook. It had garnered around 48,000 views before it was taken down.

“I can’t help but be disturbed by the incredible numbers of shares and views of this crude and despicable event,” said Gulfport Police Chief Leonard Papania, who blamed social media for the crime. “We videotape pain and suffering, then we share it and then we view it over and over.”

“Criminal acts require we properly investigate and collect evidence. We will continue to work at the speed of proper police work. We will not work at the speed of Facebook ... Our phones have rung off the hook with people trying to help us in this criminal investigation,” Papania said, thanking those who reported the crime.

Hudson's bond was set at $400,000; Johnson’s bond was set at $200,000. Booker's bond was set at $500,000. Additional arrests are expected when more of the perpetrators are identified.
