Two teens are charged with raping a classmate for hours on the orders of a younger, 13-year-old female friend.
According to Fredicknews Post, the victim told authorities she was grabbed from behind by the hair as she was walking home in Frederick, Maryland on September 1. Three young men (two of whom were her classmates) attacked her and dragged her into a car.
She says the young men slapped her and one cut her chest with a knife. They gagged her and took her to a nearby apartment. She says that her classmates, 17-year-old Edgar Natanal Chicas-Hernandez and 19-year-old Victor Antonio Gonzalez-Guttierres, then raped her for hours. The third assailant used a cellphone to record the crime.
“This is very, very rare in my experience,” said Detective Joe Palkovic, an assistant supervisor in the Frederick Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. “The violence of it and the nature of the crime, the fact that this involves someone laying in wait, kidnapping the victim and then taking her to a separate location to rape her, is very rare.”
Despite being threatened of a future attack if she disclosed, the victim told the police. According to charging documents, the younger female accomplice had contacted one of the men and outlined her plan to assault the victim for money. She apparently told one of the suspects that in exchange for footage of the assault, she'd give him “[one] night of pleasure."
Authorities are investigating the connection between the victim and younger girl. “There is some evidence that this victim [the older girl] was indirectly threatened before the incident,” Palkovic said. "We’re still evaluating that information and investigating it.”
As the Daily Mail shares, according to documents, the younger girl contacted the victim's boyfriend on social media a few days before the attack. She said, "She had someone who was going to rape and extort money from [the victim]. [The girl] asked if he wants to be part of her plan because it will be fun."
The younger girl has denied her involvement. She says that there are several fake social media accounts that they're claiming to belong to her.
Hernandez and Guttierres (pictured above) were charged with kidnapping, first-degree rape, sodomy and first- and second-degree assault. The third male assailant has not been charged.
