Actor and comedian Adam Pally was arrested Tuesday night for allegedly possessing marijuana and cocaine, People magazine reported, after New York City cops saw him allegedly vaping weed on a city sidewalk.
Officers arrested “The Mindy Project” and “Making History” star, 35, on charges of possessing marijuana—and when they searched him, officers also allegedly found that he was carrying a small amount of cocaine.
Both possession charges are misdemeanors.
Pally, the married father of two children, was arrested the same day his new comedy Most Likely to Murder began filming, People reported. Pally received a desk appearance ticket from police and was allowed to leave the precinct after his arrest was processed, but he will need to return to court in June.
By the way, as a resident of New York City, let me just add that every sidewalk here smells like someone smoking marijuana, and the idea that police officers are actually trying to stop that feels almost… quaint?
