Toby Willis, the father at the center of the TLC reality show “The Willis Family,” was arraigned on four counts of child rape this Monday, The Tennessean reported, pleading not guilty.

The dad of 12 kids—all of them in a Christian musical group together called The Willis Clan—was arrested in September on charges that he raped an underage girl in Nashville 12 years ago. The Tennessean puts her age then to nine to 12 years old.

People magazine reported that his family is struggling in the wake of Willis’s arrest.

“They are truly hurting, and trying to figure out how to carry on with their lives,” a source close to the family reportedly told the gossip magazine.

Willis’s official plea date is scheduled for July 11, and his trial will begin a week later.

TLC announced days after Willis’s arrest on these charges that the show would not be returning for a third season. TLC claimed that this decision had been made before Willis’s arrest, reported the Tennessean.

The Willis Clan rose to prominence after memorably competing on a season of America’s Got Talent.
