Thieves Steal $2 Million Worth of Alanis Morissette's Jewelry

No "Ironic" jokes allowed!

By Eric Shorey

After a significant heist from her mansion in Brentwood Los Angeles, Alanis Morisette is totally safe but her jewelry is not. Thieves managed to make off with a safe containing $2 million dollars worth of the 90s icon's expensive accessories.

According to KTLA, the break-in occurred last Thursday, and while Alanis and her husband Mario “Souleye” Treadway were unharmed (TMZ says they weren't even home at the time), their house did take some damage.

The LA Times insinuated that Morisette is partial to blame because she has been "known to flaunt her vintage jewelry collection on social media." They also insinuated that the crime may be connected to the pilferage that occurred at Nicki Minaj's house from earlier this month.

Alanis is on a bit of an unlucky streak: only a month ago had her manager admitted to embezzling around $5 million from the singer and almost $2 million from other clients.

We're not going to make a joke about this being "Ironic" (too easy!), but we will share her video for "You Oughta Know," which is a way better song anyway:
