Two people were shot at an Oklahoma memorial for a murder victim Thursday night. According to NewsOn6, a woman suffered at least one gunshot wound and a man had been struck by shrapnel. Neither injury is life threatening, according to police.
The shooting happened at the memorial for 31-year-old Durrell Collins. He was shot multiple times and killed while driving on Monday, according to the report. There were nearly 40 attendees at his memorial when two to three vehicles entered the area and began firing.
“A sad situation. We have a group of people trying to mourn the loss of someone they care about and people want to come by and shoot into that crowd,” police said in the report. Law enforcement isn’t sure if this shooting is connected to Collins’ murder.
Police also said they aren’t receiving much help from witnesses and as of now have no suspect information.
