Woman Accused Of Choking Child For Blocking View Of Fireworks At Disney

Not everyone's dream came true that day.

Disney World bills itself as a whimiscal paradise of endless possibilities, but it often seems closer to an ersatz dystopian hellscape than a pleasent adventure. Take, for example, the story of Tabbatha Mature, who is being accused of choking a child for blocking her view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

The ironically-named Mature was sitting behind a group of students when the fireworks display began, according to CBS News. After demanding that the standing group of children sit down, Mature allegedly grabbed one of the girls by the neck and began pushing her into the ground. An arrest affidavit says that Mature was heard saying the words “You don’t want to mess with me,” during the assault.

The victim got away and reported the incident to Disney employees, who alerted the police. The victim planned on pressing charges.

Mature was arrested on child abuse charges. Luckily, the victim managed to escape relatively unscathed and was reported to have no visible injuries.

So much for the happiest place on earth.
