A woman in Chicago allegedly not only witnessed the sexual assault of her friend and romantic rival, but she also posted a clip of the attack on the victim’s Snapchat.
According to the Chicago Sun-TImes, Beth Rae Harris, 36, had an argument with a 23-year-old victim over a “mutual male acquaintance” at a party last week. But, the friends supposedly made up that same night and continued their evening by going to a nightclub and a subsequent hotel after-party.
After the parties, the two friends headed back to Harris’ apartment.
According to ABC7, the victim passed out from heavy intoxication and she woke up the next day naked and sore. Harris told her that a man had sex with her while she was unconscious. Harris let an “unidentified man or men sexually assault the victim,” Assistant State’s Attorney Nora Gill said at a bond hearing on Thursday.
In the disturbing video posted from the victim’s Snapchat account, the victim lies naked as a man grabs her buttocks and exposes her vagina to the camera, Gill stated. Harris allegedly narrates the assault on the video, at one point warning the man not to wake the victim and calling the victim names.
The victim’s Snapchat followers saw the video, and one identified Harris, a mother of three, from a photo.
The sexual assault investigation is ongoing. Harris is being held in lieu of $150,000 bail for non-consensual dissemination of sexual images, DNA Info reports.
