A woman survived a violent attack by her ex-boyfriend only to find out that he was living in her attic. Authorities in Larose, Louisiana are now looking for the suspect, 21-year-old Taylor Broussard.
According to WGNO, the victim called the cops on April 29 when Broussard, the ex-boyfriend, entered her home without permission. A few days later, on May 3, she reported that he forced his way into the house and attacked her with his fists. The woman was at home with a child when Broussard allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened the woman in addition to damaging physical property inside. He then escaped by stealing her purse and car.
The woman was able to call for help. When authorities arrived, they realized Broussard had been living in the attic. They discovered bedding, water bottles, food and plastic bottles filled with urine.
Broussard is currently at large. He has arrest warrants out for two counts of stalking, domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, domestic abuse aggravated assault, theft of a motor vehicle, felony theft, home invasion, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and simple criminal damage to property.
Authorities are seeking the public's help in catching Broussard and are offering a reward of up to $1,000 in cash for information leading to an arrest.
