The woman who died during Wednesday’s explosion at a Minneapolis private Christian school was prepping to be married in October.

Ruth Berg, 47, worked as a receptionist for the school for 17 years. CBS Minnesota reported that she was pulled from the rubble after the gas leak explosion.

According to the Star Tribune, John F. Carlson, an 82-year-old janitor, also lost his life. Nine others were injured. The explosion caused a partial collapse of the building.

School officials said that Berg “welcomed everyone with a smile and was always willing to go the extra mile to help our students, families, and staff.”
