Lawrence Ray was convicted on all counts following a Manhattan trial where jurors heard testimony from witnesses describing his psychologically manipulative relationship with young people at Sarah Lawrence College.
"I was terrified. I was trembling. You can’t breathe. You want to breathe a lot. That just makes it much worse. It was terrifying,” Claudia Drury testified Thursday about an alleged seven-hour torture session at the hands of Lawrence Ray.
Lawrence Ray's attorney initially told the court he'd able to proceed with the trial after suffering a seizure at a Brooklyn jail earlier that morning, but as the day progressed, Ray's symptoms apparently deteriorated.
