A man from Memphis, Tennessee is accused of kidnapping and brutally assaulting his ex-girlfriend as other men watched. Austin Guinn was arrested on Tuesday, according to WREG, on suspicion of aggravated assault and aggravated kidnapping.
Earlier that day, Guinn allegedly kidnapped his ex-girlfriend from a liquor store and brought her back to his home. Then, he shoved her into a bathtub, stripped her naked and urinated on while other men watched on. The victim claimed that while in the tub, Guinn beat her in the face with a closed fist and pistol-whipped her, as reported by KFOR.
Police revealed that when they spoke to the victim, her eyes and face were noticeably and severely swollen. They noted that she had cuts all over her body, including her leg, arm and torso. None of the victim’s injuries are life-threatening, and police expect her to make a full physical recovery from the trauma.
Just a few days earlier, police issued a warrant for Guinn’s arrest for another domestic assault incident. According to WREG, it's unclear if the two cases are related.
It's also unclear if Guinn, who was arrested in 2015 on drug charges, has a lawyer who can speak on his behalf at this time.
