Azealia Banks Accuses Coldplay Manager Of Assault: He Allegedly Put Her In 'Chocking Headlock,' Dragged Her By Her Hair
"She considers him her Dad and felt close to him like family," Banks wrote in the third person in a viral Instagram post.

New York rapper Azealia Banks has posted an Instagram in which she details her relationship with high profile manager Dave Holmes and the abuse she faced while with him. The post has garnered over 11,000 likes in one week.
In the third person, Banks describes the age difference (and subsequent power differential) of the relationship, which turned violent over time. Holmes had, according to Banks' post, began courting the rising star before the release of her breakout hit "212." She says he was married (but separated) at the time and agreed to pay Banks' rent.
"She considers him her Dad and felt close to him like family," Banks writes.
As Banks' success bloomed, the two became distant but again reunited, eventually leading to physical altercations:
"She grabs hold of his fancy espresso machine and pushes it on the floor, which prompts him to put her in a choking headlock. The fight gets nasty, with her throwing rocks through glass windows and him dragging her by her hair and throwing her into a freezing cold shower. During the headlock she cuts the inside of her lip on her teeth and begins to spit blood. Her friend comes to pick her up and take her home where she cries for hours and doesn't sleep a wink. Her world was shattered."
XXL Mag notes that Banks had posted about the abuse before in a series of since-deleted tweets: "ColdPlay's manager Dave Holmes is a piece of sh*t," she wrote. "Second time he has put his fucking hands on me."
"You know how someone lets you down once...And you give them another chance, and they let you down again? And you feel stupid...Because you knew better? A jealous Man is a Dangerous man."
