The dad who tried to attack Larry Nassar in court is giving away his defense earning to charity. As CNN reports, the father of three of Nassar's sexual abuse victims, Randy Margraves, lunged at the former USA Gymnastics doctor last week in open court. An online fundraiser surfaced following the incident to help Margraves with any possible legal expenses that he may have incurred.

He is now donating the money—more than $31,000— to victims of sexual abuse.

Margraves said in a statement, per CNN, that he did not need the money. He will donate the funds to "local charities like Small Talk, RAVE and the Firecracker Foundation." He said that he is grateful for the outpouring of support following his attack on Nassar. "At the time of the incident, I didn't know that the great brotherhood had done this, and I was overcome with gratitude when I found out," Margraves said in the statement. "I appreciate everyone stepping up to support me, but help is not needed for me. After giving people the chance to get a refund, the donations will go to organizations that help the sisterhood of survivors and other victims of abuse."

Some of those organizations have spoken out to thank the father. "I just wanted to share our appreciation especially in the face of so much tragedy," said Tashmica Torok, founder and executive director of the Firecracker Foundation. "[The donation] allows us to continue to do the great work that we do here and provide essential services to children who are survivors of very unfortunate circumstances," said Alex Brace, executive director of Small Talk Children's Assessment Center.

Last week, Nassar was sentenced to more than 100 years in prison for sexually abusing over 100 women and girls pursuing gymnastics. "I would ask you, as part of the sentencing to grant me five minutes in a locked room with this demon," Margraves asked the judge at the sentencing. "Would you give me one minute?" The judge declined. At that point, he went after Nassar. "I want that son of a b*tch!" screamed the enraged father.

He was eventually subdued by police.
