A man who abducted his ex-girlfriend with plans on taking her to a cave and making her his wife was found guilty on Tuesday, December 19 of kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping charges, according to The Dallas Morning News. He faces sentencing in March.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, 32-year-old Jack Morgan and a female accomplice, 19-year-old Sophie Brown, stalked and then kidnapped 28-year-old Jane Priebe earlier this year from her Las Vegas apartment. Brown pleaded guilty in November to one count of conspiracy to commit kidnapping and is currently awaiting sentencing, according to The Dallas Morning News.

A witness saw Priebe being dragged into a white van by Morgan. She was bound by chains and wearing only her underwear. Authorities were called in and then notified the area about the van. At about 11 PM the same day, a police officer in New Mexico stopped the van and heard Priebe shouting for help from inside. Per reports, “he could hear screaming and yelling ‘help me.’”

Inside, the victim was found, hunched over. Her wrists were handcuffed and her legs were bound by padlocked chains. She was described as “emotionally distraught” and “hysterical" by the ordeal.

Morgan and Brown were arrested on charges of kidnapping, false imprisonment and conspiracy, sccording to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Following the arrest, it was discovered that Morgan had plotted the abduction plan for over a year. He created fake social media profiles to “track, follow and stalk” his ex. They had recently met up for coffee, and that's when Brown followed Priebe back home to see where she lived. Morgan and Priebe had briefly dated while in college.

Morgan's goal was to take Priebe to a cave in New Mexico and to "brainwash her" to be his wife.

During her interview with police, Priebe expressed extreme fear about her ex.

“As would be expected (Priebe) was extremely emotional at times of the interview and cried much,” police reports said. “She expressed extreme fear of (Morgan) and is terrified he will find her and kill her.”

During the abduction, Morgan choked Priebe six times, to the point of unconsciousness. He is trained in mixed martial arts.

Priebe suffered lacerations and bruises on her arms, leg, neck and face.
