<em>We asked Atiba about everything from his career path to his favorite magazine. Check out his answers.</em><br /><strong><br />Q:</strong> How long have you been with the B. Lynn Group? <br /><strong>A:</strong> I've been with the B. Lynn Group for almost 2 yrs.<br />
<strong>Q:</strong> What is your professional background? <br /><strong>A:</strong> Before styling, I worked for the post office, for the transit system, and for security at a mall. Go figure, I was under investigation because I shopped too much. Lol
<strong>Q:</strong> How did you get started in styling?<br /><strong>A:</strong> I got started in styling through a good friend named Eric Archibald, who introduced me to his then boss June Ambrose, who had a team of male stylists called the Mode Squad.
<strong>Q:</strong> What previous jobs and experiences have influenced your career? <br/><strong>A:</strong> Working with Diddy was an eye opener in my career. It just showed me not to be afraid to work with anyone, and my confidence shot up after him. He definitely influenced my career.
<strong>Q:</strong> Who are your favorite people that you have styled? <br/><strong>A:</strong> My favorite artist to work with was Mary J. Blige. She appreciated every look I put her in, and she was the most honest client.
<strong>Q:</strong> Do you have a particular style that you tend to stick to when it comes to styling people?<br/><strong>A:</strong> I wouldn't say I have a particular style, but I do tend to use a lot of black and leather. lol
<strong>Q:</strong> What's your own personal style like? <br/><strong>A:</strong> My personal style is always changing, it depends on my mood and where I'm going that day.
<strong>Q:</strong> Which celeb (that you've never worked with before) would you love to style?<br/><strong>A:</strong> I'd love to style Janet Jackson. She needs me.....BAD!
<strong>Q:</strong> What's your favorite fashion trend for fall?<br/><strong>A:</strong> I try not to follow trends, you end up looking like everyone else.
<strong>Q:</strong> What do you think is the biggest fashion faux pas? <br /><strong>A:</strong> The biggest fashion faux pas is when people try too hard. Fashion is supposed to be an expression of who you are. So if you dress like a clown, people will think you’re a clown.
<strong>Q:</strong> What do you think are wardrobe staples that everyone should have in their closet? <br/><strong>A:</strong> A black motorcycle jacket, a great pair of jeans, and a well-tailored suit.
<strong>Q:</strong> Which of your coworkers would you want to style you? <br/><strong>A:</strong> I wouldn't want any of my coworkers to style me. We have different taste.
<strong>Q:</strong> What's the most high maintenance behavior you've worked with (without naming the person)?<br/><strong>A:</strong> One client fired me because she found out I flew 1st class to L.A and she flew coach.
<strong>Q:</strong> What's the most outrageous location you've worked in?<br/><strong>A:</strong> The most outrageous location I've worked in was in the ghettos of Miami. We needed an armed police officer at all times.
<strong>Q:</strong> Who are your favorite designers/brands? <br/><strong>A:</strong> I love Hermes, H&M, Rag and Bone, Dior, Public School, Givenchy, Alexander Wang and the late Alexander McQueen. He was a genius!
<strong>Q:</strong> What can you never leave the house without? <br/><strong>A:</strong> I can never leave the house without my wallet and keys. Both Louis Vuitton. lol
<strong>Q:</strong> Whos your fashion icon?<br/><strong>A:</strong> My favorite fashion Icon is Diana Ross, she used to wear some hot sh*t! Watch Mahogany and Lady Sings The Blues.
<strong>Q:</strong> Who's your favorite performing artist? <br/><strong>A:</strong> My favorite performing artist is Beyonce. I hate to join the bandwagon, but she's a performing beast!
<strong>Q:</strong> Do you have any funny/special habits?<br /><strong>A:</strong> Whenever I work, I have to use even numbers. Shoes, clothes, accessories. It’s just something I picked up over the years for luck. The only odd number I'll use is 7.
<strong>Q:</strong> What would viewers be surprised to learn about you?<br/><strong>A:</strong> That I HATE shopping and trying on clothes. Ironic huh?<br>
<strong>Q:</strong> If there is one thing that you want your fans to know about your life, prior to the show, what would it be? <br/><strong>A:</strong> I'd like them to know that I didn't find my career until I was almost 30. Its never too late to figure out what you're good at.<br>
