New York Homicide Season 3 To Cover Cases That "Shook the Metropolis to Its Core" (Watch the Trailer)

Retired NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert K. Boyce is back for Season 3 of New York Homicide, which will tackle everything from the murder of an Indian prince to a serial killer who kept Brooklyn on edge.

New York Homicide is returning to Oxygen for Season 3, and it promises to highlight "murder investigations that shook the metropolis to its core."
 
Retired New York Police Department Chief of Detectives Robert K. Boyce is back to help delve into some of the worst murders in the city’s history, along with the uncompromising determination from law enforcement, family, and friends who are intent on getting justice for the victims.

"We're taking you on some of the Big Apple's most notorious and chilling cases," Boyce says in the trailer for the new season. "Justice might not not always come easy on these streets, but that's never going to stop New York's finest."

Cases involving chopping someone up, "a human elbow sticking out of the sand," the use of a machete, and a body that "had been buried in the middle of a hurricane" are mentioned by others in the trailer.

When does Season 3 of New York Homicide premiere?

New York Homicide Season 3 premieres on Saturday, February 1 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Oxygen, the home of high-quality true-crime programming. It will follow a new episode of Prosecuting Evil with Kelly Siegler.

Who is New York Homicide host Robert K. Boyce?

In his 35 years of serving the city, Boyce, who's now retired from his NYPD Chief of Detectives role,  witnessed the powerful resoluteness of its citizens as well as horrifically evil deeds. In Season 3 of New York Homicide, Boyce provides singular insight on crimes that took hold of the city and the unrelenting work it took to bring perpetrators to justice.

What cases will New York Homicide Season 3 cover?

According to an official synopsis of the show, "The 20 new cases analyzed this season include the murder of an Indian prince known for his extravagant lifestyle; the killing of a man whose body was found in the debris following Hurricane Sandy; a man whose Hell’s Kitchen murder changed the city’s club scene and made headlines nationwide; a successful tech entrepreneur stabbed to death at the height of his career; and a serial killer who kept Brooklyn on edge."

New York Homicide is produced by ITV America’s Good Caper Content in association with Central Park Entertainment. Jordana Hochman, Sarah Howell, Ben Parry, Sean Moran, Diane Warshay and Michele Warshay are the executive producers.

In its second season, New York Homicide reached 8.3 million viewers across all platforms.
