Christmas was a very special time for the LeCornu family. Father, John, recorded almost every Christmas morning on a portable cassette recorder, Jodi's sister, Jennifer Carrieri, recalls.
Baltimore rapper David Collins stopped in for a drink at a local tavern in 1996. He noticed a blonde lady sitting alone. He would later find out he was one of the last people to see Jody LeCornu alive.
One involved says that the police were less than forthcoming in the Jody LeCornu murder investigation. As long as the case was "under investigation," authorities weren't required to share information with the family or media, he says.
During his first interview, detectives noticed abrasions on Stephen Capobianco's hands. They asked about them the second time, and he had varying explanations. They had no proof, but they knew he was the last person to see Charli alive.
Charli Scott's sister, Phaedra, says she was in shock and could only keep looking for her sister while she was missing. Her mom also was "relentless", she says.
Jennifer Carrieri was relentless in seeking justice for the murder of her sister, Jody LeCornu. She took an unusual route: buying up massive billboards looking for information on her killer.
Kimberlyn Scott painted a rock with the face of her daughter, Charli. Then she began painting a rock for many of the missing people of Maui as a reminder to police. She plans to build a rock garden in front of the police department.
Jody was shot in the back in the parking lot of a shopping center. A Towson University Student, her murder caught regional attention, and Jennifer became determined to find out more.
