Coco Rocha's 20 Edgiest Runway Looks

By Fawnia Soo Hoo

While the fashion-obsessed are counting down to the premiere of "The Face," they're also freaking out because New York Fashion Week starts on Thursday, February 7. Invitations are going out, outfits are being planned and parties are in the works. So let's jump into the fray by breaking down Fashion Week veteran Coco Rocha's Top 20 Edgiest Runway Looks. Girl really makes an impact, doesn't she?

Now Coco is famous for her unique and dance-inspired posing moves and her runway talents are just as impactful. She's this beautiful canvas to powerfully represent and convey a designer's vision—whether it's an avante-garde label like Rodarte to or a legendary house like Chanel. It was hard to narrow down, but let's take a look at our top 20.

20. Fledgling Rebel

A fresh-faced 17-year old Coco walked the Paris runways in March 2006 for Stella McCartney's ready-to-wear show. While this isn't her craziest look by far, we couldn't resist that baby face and the goth-y mesh dress shows some groundbreaking potential in the near future. 19. It's Officially On

Fast forward to September 2006 in (not so) rough and tumble New York City and we're getting somewhere. Still baby-faced, but with a scrappy expression as she walks the runway for Luella Bartley. And she's wearing what looks to be broken glass on her shirt. Literally edgy! [Photo Credit: Thomas Concordia/WireImage]

18. Coco Means Business

We keep hoping Coco will bring back the ginger one day, so we love this witchy jet-setting executive look for Bottega Veneta Fall 2009. [Photo Credit: Vittorio Zunino Celotto/Getty Images]

17. Haute Couture Revoluion

Louise Brooks goes gothic as Coco saunters down the Chanel Haute Couture Fall 2008 runway in Paris. It's like a mélange of glam rebel elements: 20s-era fringed bob, heavy as soot eyeliner and a sublime Karl Lagerfeld-designed gown. [Photo Credit: Karl Prouse/Catwalking/Getty Images]

16. On the Edge

The very cool L.A.-based Rodarte has always been a fashion girl favorite, but the label became a household name after designing the costumes for the very-terrifying ballet movie, "Black Swan." Coco was ahead of the curve, walking walked Rodarte's runway in 2007. [Photo Credit: JP Yim/WireImage]

15. Far Eastern Fantasy Land

Coco jetted over to Paris for John Galliano's Japanese-inspired Spring 2007 haute couture collection for Christian Dior. Her ethereal look and face partially concealed by a straw-plate fascinator totally makes this romantic alterna-world motif. She's leaning on a giant chair! [Photo Credit: Tony Barson/WireImage]

14. Mai, Oui! The British Are Coming!

With the don't-eff-with-me look in full force, Coco donned one of her many creative headpieces in this Paul Revere-meets-Gallic-girl look for Anna Sui Spring 2007. [Photo Credit: Thomas Concordia/WireImage]

13. Something's In My Eye!

Speaking of fascinators, this turban with what looks to be a blooming sea creature attached seems to be tickling her nose. She made it down the Donna Karan runway in February of 2007 with a straight face though. Always a professional. [Photo Credit: JP Yim/WireImage]

12. Getting Ziggy (Stardust) With It

11. Festival Fashion Goes Black Tie

More experimentation with funky makeup is going on in London at the Giles Spring 2011 show. Coco looks ready to hit the music festivals with her Little Mermaid-blue metallic eye-makeup and bright lip. You can wear evening gowns to Coachella, right? 10. Swedish Chef Chic

Wonder if Anne Klein still makes this gigantic wooly chef's hat from its Fall 2007 collection. It's really cold in New York right now. [Photo Credit: Randy Brooke/WireImage]

9. Small Hats Make Coco Sad

Over in Milan in February 2007, Coco looks kind of sad that she had to downsize her hat. But she looks amaze in a dark lip and this velvety peeky corset ensemble. [Photo Credit: Thomas Concordia/WireImage]

8. Black Navy Widow Chic

An absolute vision, Coco goes all "Black Swan"-goes-to-the-ball for friend and "The Face" guest star Zac Posen for Fall 2012. Let's take a closer look:

The severe bun adorned with spikey feathers definitely have us quivering in our heels. Love that triple-layered eye-makeup though. Also severe. [Photo Credit: Arun Nevader/Getty Images]

7. Rebel Princess

There are so many amazing parts in this Christian Lacroix Fall 2007 runway look that feel so badass fairy princess. Studded and spiked leather above-the-elbow gloves that we want to wear right now, a neo-Victorian up-do accented with a pearl-encrused hairpin (also want) and what looks to be a weather-vane fascinator. 6. Smooth Criminal

Coco went gothy femme fatale in this literary-inspired collection for Celine Fall 2007. With the strappy chauffeur's cap and moto-gloves, she looks like a chic getaway driver in 70s Paris. [Photo Credit: Karl Prouse/Catwalking/Getty Images]

5. Double the Fun

What's better than Coco in one cool hat? Coco in dos! Marc Jacobs sent her down the catwalk for Spring 2007 in a metallic purple cap layered over a grey turban. [Photo Credit: Randy Brooke/WireImage]

4. Edge of the World

Back to Paris again, Coco traded in her headwear for funky forehead paint in Nicolas Ghesquière's techno-meets-multi-cultural collection for Balenciaga Fall/Winter 2007. [Photo Credit: Chris moore/Catwalking/Getty Images]

3. The Untamed Wild

Coco seriously works the cool toppers and this antler-crown for Jean Paul Gaultier during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week for Fall 2007 is no exception. The renegade designer (famed for Madonna's iconic cone bra) went all taxidermy-luxe with this one. Your move, Kate Middleton. [Photo Credit: Karl Prouse/Catwalking/Getty Images]

2. Over and Under

Now, Coco isn't into doing any Victoria's Secret catwalking (leave that to fellow "The Face" coach Karolina), but she's not above wearing her undies painted onto her clothes—especially in Marc Jacobs' cheeky collection for Spring 2008. [Photo Credit: Karl Prouse/Catwalking/Getty Images]

1. Every Rose Has Its Thorn

Okay, we're a little intimidated right now. Between Coco's majorly intense stare and actual thorns poking out of this Francesco Scognamiglio Fall 2011 design ... we need to scroll back up to baby-faced Coco. [Photo Credit: Antonio de Moraes Barros Filho/WireImage]
