Last week, Naomi Campbell was seen wearing an Azzedine Alaia outfit. As you may recall, Alaia has been a father figure to Naomi for decades and has dressed A-listers from Madonna to Michelle Obama. "The Face's" stylist Patti Wilson keeps with the theme in episode 2 by dressing Naomi head-to-toe in an all-Alaia black outfit, including super high-heel booties, laced elbow-high gloves, an over-sized belt, and a very, very brave bodysuit.
I say “brave” for two reasons: 1) this ultra-tight one-piece leaves no room for anything but perfection; and 2) Naomi is not a 20-something like the models she’s mentoring for the show. Yet there is nothing but anatomical perfection to be found here. You are looking at a woman who defies the laws of nature, on many levels.
The same could be said for Nigel Barker, the show’s host and veteran judger of models on TV. While Naomi’s look is casual with high fashion embellishments, Nigel's six-foot-plus frame, square jaw and broad shoulders puts an extra-sexy spin on the classic “Working Man” look. He’s sporting army green Carharrt khakis, a Levi’s denim jacket, a Kenzo sweater and Topman shoes.
