It’s the best drinking time of year for John Thrasher — creamy, chocolatey holiday cocktail time.
This take on a classic Brandy Alexander uses Grand Marnier Louis Alexandre, a blend of VSOP cognac and orange liqueur. Created by Havier Herit, national brand ambassador for Grand Marnier, it’s a creamy treat with a hint of orange that’s an easy alternative to eggnog. I'm a big fan of this cocktail because it's like drinking a dessert — and made with my mom's favorite spirit, Grand Marnier.
Here’s how to make it:
1.5 ounces Grand Marnier Louis Alexandre
0.75 ounce heavy cream
0.25 ounce Crème de Cacao
1 dash of Angostura Bitters
Shake all the ingredients together, served straight up in a Port glass or a Nick & Nora coupe glass.
Garnish with some Grated Nutmeg on the top.
Sip it while listening to John and Daryn Carp discuss the case of Michael Swango, a charming medical professional who seemed to have a much higher rate of patient mortality than usual, yet seemed to keep finding new jobs, and unsuspecting victims.
Hosts Daryn Carp and John Thrasher chat about creepy crimes and mysterious murders...while mixing up martinis! Each fun new episode of this true crime podcast will focus on a new crime, the crazy details and of course the theories about how it all went down.
