50 Cent has a history of getting petty on social media.
Whether he's beefing with Vivica A. Fox, his ex Shaniqua Tompkins, or his own son, 50 pulls no punches, to the point where he's often faced backlash over his social media moves (especially when it comes to taking shots at his estranged son Marquise).
For instance, earlier this week, the rapper posted a flyer for a Friday the 13th party celebrating the end of his court-ordered child support.
"Child support release party Friday 13, Club Lust 1:00 AM Happy Hour drinks on me," he wrote. "Tom petty is alive !!! Ladies with no kids, Free Admission Ladies who didn't collect child support, Free Admission."
50 was dealt his fair share of backlash over the post, with commenters flocking to his comments section to either defend him or blast him for being immature and insensitive. 50's son Marquise — with whom 50 has had no shortage of online drama — even commented on the post, writing, "D*mn, if only your new tv show was this funny."
50 later commented on a screenshot of the exchange, writing, "LOL you see how far people get into things they know nothing about. Smh so you like to see the boy challenge me. Real life is starting, gotta get out and make it happen like I did now."
Still, something someone said must have gotten under 50's skin because he later shed some light on why he does the things that he does, explaining that it's not his intention to be insensitive.
"Excuse me if I seem a little [insensitive] at times," he wrote in the caption of a throwback photo of himself as a kid. "I'm different. I came up a little harder than these guys. I make no excuses. I never met my father and my mother got killed when I was 8."
50 later changed the caption to something less revealing ("my nana said my auntie G can take me out side the church. so I can get some air before I start cutting up because I told her, God just told me we been in here to long. LOL"), but his point was made. Hopefully this will lead to him and Marquise hugging it out one day.
